Don’t you just long for summer? Seagull calls and deckchairs? Cocktails and long summer evenings? If like me, you do then you may well love the Tutti Rouge Betty Brighton Rock set as much as I do.
Ice-cream and Brighton Rock
Betty is Tutti Rouge’s signature range and without a doubt it is stunning. The padded balconette bra is almost like a work of art. The gorgeous print is filled with iconic images of British summertime including little deckchairs, ice-creams, Brighton pier and even sticks of rock. Yet, somehow Tutti Rouge manages to make this look pretty and girly.
The bra itself is made from a pale blush pink coloured satin which is extremely subtle and pretty. Light moulded padding sits within the cups, nothing too over the top just enough to give a great lift. I find Bettie Brighton Rock gives me a fabulous cleavage without looking like I’m going to fall out of it every time I move.
Underwiring in the cups is encased by blush satin and this adds to the lift and support offered by Betty Brighton Rock. A vertical seam up the front of the cup creates a nice rounded, natural shape to your boobs. The cups are trimmed with bright candy pink ribbon slotted over a delicately blush coloured lace. This adds to the extremely feminine look of Betty Brighton Rocks.
A large candy pink bow sits between the cups in a flirty detail and this is echoed by tiny pink bows on the shoulder straps. Lovely soft, wide blush coloured straps lead up from the cups, Tutti Rouge really have mastered the comfortable strap for the larger bust. There was no cutting in or rubbing and they assisted with supporting my ample boobs brilliantly.
Frothy Lace and Love Hearts
Adjustable love heart “Tutti” sliders adorn the straps, this is one of the sweet little details which keeps me coming back to Tutti Rouge repeatedly. The attention to detail is unrivalled by any everyday lingerie supplier I know. It’s normal to apply such detail to sexy lingerie or boudoir sets but not to everyday knickers.
The bottom of the Betty Brighton Rocks balconette bra is trimmed with a frothy, pretty blush lace which looks adorable when worn. I really appreciate the feminine look Tutti Rouge injects into so many of their designs. I am unashamedly a girly girl and their stuff lights up my little knicker loving heart.
Blush Coloured Mesh
Soft sheer blush mesh creates the back strap, leading to a triple setting double hook and eye fastener. Stamped into the fastener is the signature Tutti Rouge logo. The back strap is comfortable and sits nicely on. The level of adjustment feels more generous than some bras, with about a centimetre difference between each setting.
If like me, you NEED your underwear to be a set Tutti Rouge sell two options of bottom to go with Betty Brighton Rock. You can opt for either a mini brief or a short. I chose the mini brief.
Betty Brighton Rock Mini Brief
Continuing the seaside print into the bottoms Tutti Rouge have created a front satin print panel to this brief. The deckchairs and ice-creams frame a central polka dot blush mesh peekaboo window giving a tease of what’s beneath. This is trimmed with blush lace and candy pink ribbon slot detail.
The centre of the waist band holds a large candy pink bow adding a focal point to the mesh window. A trim of soft blush lace around the legs adds to the extremely pretty look of these bottoms. The briefs are mid-rise with a full bottom making them very comfortable and flattering. For me the back of these ornate briefs is even more special than the front.
The entire back panel of the Betty Brighton Rock mini briefs is made up of a sheer blush mesh panel. This is decorated with a vintage polka dot pattern which I really love. The centre of the back panel is dominated by a strip of vertical blush lace with candy pink slotted ribbon running through it. This is periodically dotted with little pink bows. This is a beautiful touch and it puts me in mind of quite a burlesque feel. Although the briefs are very sheer at the back I don’t feel at all uncomfortable with this.
When worn together the entire Betty Brighton Rock set is flirty, feminine charm at its most appealing. It’s a light, summery look which feels amazing against the skin and is just crying out to be under a floaty summer dress. I’m not usually a fan of satin in underwear as it can be uncomfortable, impractical and sometimes look cheap. Betty Brighton Rock is none of these things. It’s extremely wearable, supremely comfortable and has a luxe look which highlight Tutti Rouge’s quality.
Like most satin lingerie, Betty Brighton Rock is hand wash only, which is a small inconvenience for such a lovely set. Tutti Rouge bra sizes run from 28-38 D-HH so there is plenty of scope for even the larger boobed amongst us such as myself. The briefs are sized in XS-XXL.
I think Tutti Rouge Betty Brighton Rock is great value for money, the balconette bra will set you back £39.50, which is about standard for a good quality 38FF bra. The briefs cost £17.50 and the shorts £19.50. I happily paid this for this glamourous, flirty set. You can purchase Betty Brighton Rock at Tutti Rouge
